If you are thinking of buying one of those new mode T880 Kenworth trucks, we bought two of them. Both trucks had do go back to the shop because they had leaks on the passenger side over the seat, no seal around the running light. Both trucks have been returned with wheel seal leaks in the tandem. Today, one truck’s computer went crazy running the oil pressure way up and then dropping to nothing. The guy at the Kenworth shop demanded we drive it to Durham. Sidney refused. He demanded we tow it there. Sidney refused and quite rightly. Anything we did could have been blamed on us. It is a good thing we kept the Macks so we have something to drive while these trucks are repaired. One of the T880’s had a minor wreck, bumper and left fender replaced, not our fault. It took over three weeks for them to fix it. Each time, they would say it would be ready and we would call to pick it up and but they had ordered the wrong fender, the wrong light, the wrong bumper, etc. To top that off, the mud and snow tread on the t880s pick up and rocks and then fling them against the rear of the truck. One smashed the back glass giving our driver quite a scare. I had to drive to Rocky Mount to pick up the replacement glass at Kenworth there, that was if I wanted it fixed right away. They couldn’t spare anyone. Just thought you should know, anyone thinking of picking a new T880 KW.
